Description
Nearly sunset after a violent mid-summer storm driving home after dinner with friends. Experiencing a zen moment in the clouds I fumbled for the only camera available, my iPhone 6s, quite a good camera so I am not compalining. The sky was glowing, the setting sun forcing shadows and rays to move upward. The golden glow of the sun was simply too much to overlook so I held the camera to the sky and released the shutter. A bit of adjustment in the phone using AcDsee and then another bit of clarification in Photoshop and On1 Effects Filters and there it was, the image I envisioned as I released the shutter.

I processed the raw image file using Photomatix Pro 5, filters from Topaz Labs including Detail 3 and DeJPEG 4 as well as some minor tweaking in Photoshop including sCurve adjustments, brightness, saturation and the camera raw filter to produce this HDR image.
